Designed for learners who are re-engaging with education or have additional learning needs. Focus areas include:

• Speaking and Listening: Practising everyday conversation, asking questions, and expressing ideas clearly in group or one-to-one settings.
   

Level 1

Equivalent to GCSE Grades 1–3. Learners are supported to:

• Read and understand short texts with straightforward ideas and structure

• Write clearly and accurately for different audiences and purposes (e.g. job applications, formal letters)

• Demonstrate effective verbal communication and listening skills

 

Level 2

Equivalent to a GCSE Grade 4 pass and accepted by employers and colleges. Learners will:

• Read and analyse more complex texts for meaning and purpose

• Produce extended written responses with structure, grammar, and tone appropriate to the task

• Participate in formal discussions, presentations, and role-play scenarios​
